Something in his warrior’s experience took him captive to a dreadful sin that plagued his house. Satan always opposes in some form or other. This was the way he attacked Gideon, who of course bore responsibility. He allowed it and sinned. The grace of God was with him but sometimes our falls are allowed to bring us to our senses. We have a roaring lion pursuing us. He does not have a gummy mouth. His bite is ferocious. He rules over a kingdom supernaturally up there in the sky, of many kinds of demons. Even principalities and powers in the heavenly places. He would ensnare us if he could and sometimes does. Then we have to escape – with the help of the Lord. Sometimes it is like Paul’s experience when a messenger of Satan kept on plaguing him. It seems it was persecution from his fellow-men, the Israelites/Hebrews/Judeans. God did not send that messenger away for him. Rather he said to Paul, that His grace was sufficient and that His dunamis power was one of triumph despite afflictions continuing. Dunamis power is what we obtain when we receive the Holy Ghost that of course is always with speaking in other tongues or languages supernaturally by the Spirit. Therein is our powere – not in power to heal the sick, which is a by-product as it were, of a gift given by the Holy Spirit. We heal the sick because we have that particular power but the power whereby God does exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or think is that dunamis power.#BibleStudy #Jews #Christian #IreneBonneyFaulkes #Truth #Teaching #wordofgod
