When believers gathered together in prayer they are to enter the heavenly realms. This means prayers, worship and intercession are to go higher than the ceiling.
They are not to be sermons in prayer form to the rest of the congregation. Even the book of Hebrews discloses this in a major way and we are to realize that this book although named ‘Hebrews’ it is not certain that this was the original name because the original manuscript/s are lost. Some early scholars considered that Priscilla wrote it but that later was disregarded because this was a woman. I tend to this belief and it has nothing to do with my being a woman. Paul is the apostle to Hebrews or other nationals we call Gentiles. He had listened to the Lord Jesus for fourteen years in Arabia, alone. To him was given the glorious truth about the very numerous Gentiles being added to the few Hebrews who would believe in Jesus Christ. He understood the glories to be had in approach to God. All believers, including us because we also are ‘saints’, are to approach the heavenly throne of grace ‘in the Spirit’. This is not in an ordinary way but in the ways of the Holy Ghost or the Holy Spirit. We are to get into the Holy Spirit spiritually and in reality as we approach that throne in heaven through the mediatorship of our Great High Priest there, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is High Priest after the order of Melchizedek, Hebrews 7. This replaced the order of Levi of the Old Testament Law in the Pentateuch. That Levitical order finished forever, never to be reintroduced at any time in any form. That was under the Old Covenant which has been replaced by the New Covenant. The Old was discontinued by the Lord God. Men would continue it but that is because of unbelief, rebellion, blindness of heart from Satan. We are under the glories of the New Covenant, by the grace of God that has brought Salvation to us, Who is Jesus. His name is Jesus as given by the angel in Greek to Joseph, Iesous. Jesus is the name alone that brings Salvation because He is that Salvation as Simeon said in Luke when he held that Baby in his arms – ”.. I had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit . And he came in the Spirit into the temple … he took Him in his arms and praised God and said, “Now dismiss your slave in peace, Lord, according to your word for my eyes have seen your salvation that you have prepared in the presence of all the peoples, a Light for revelation to the Gentiles and glory to your people Israel’, Luke 2:25-27. Notice, to Israel He is glory. Glory has no part of this world. Therefore His kingdom would never be of this world. It would be as He declared to Pilate, ‘My kingdom is not of this world’. It is a heavenly kingdom forever to which we enter through the new birth. ‘It is necessary for you to be born from above … So is everyone who is born of the Spirit’, John 2:7,8. His kingdom is Spiritual inhabited by Spirit-ual people. Those in this kingdom have eternal life. Whatever happens to the body is almost irrelevant becase they possess eternal life and have life forever now within and later forever in heaven for eternity.
