Of course there are no Gentiles today – nor the Greeks as often translated. Once there were. Abram was a non Hebrew a non Israelite. The promise to him was for many like him in the centuries that began in Acts 2. Through Isaac and Jacob they would inherit the land but they looked all the while ahead to the eternal city built by God in heaven. They did inherit Canaan. So who then were most prominent in the promise to Abram? . Once such partook of the plan by faith through grace, there were no longer Gentiles. They were the people of God through union with Christ.
