PAUL THE ROMAN JEW

Noah was placed by the Lord in history just where he was. So were all of the other outstanding ones of the Old Testament, including Deborah. had to include her! So also was Paul, placed when and where and as he was right there for all believers in Christ from the beginning of the gospel period and still ongoing. He himself is the great example of the grace of God bestowed upon us. Without him and his writings, we would be vastly ignorant of the gospel and the will of God for each one of us. Paul was an upper-class Roman citizen, born as a Jew who was taught the Law of Moses. It would have been first by his mother and then at age twelve, in the Synagogue. In addition he was reared in the Oral Tradition that Jesus condemned. He was a very proud, arrogant member of the Sanhedrin that followed the oral traditions later put to writing in the Mishnah, and Cabala. Gamaliel, his inportant teacher also was such. He considered it all a pile of manure when Jesus found him, who was called even while he was in his mother’s womb. He was given to the Ecclesia, as the Apostle to the Gentiles. Peter was such to the Jews. Why would that have been? One reason was that Peter never did receive the fulness of the gospel. He even wrote that ‘Brother Paul has written things that are hard to understand’. So who can really teach us the truths of the gospel Not Peter James or John but Paul. He said something important of himself after relating that Jesus after being raised from the dead, appeared to Peter and then to the twelve then more than 500 brothers and sisters, to James and then to all the apostles – how many of the latter? He said ‘Last of all, as though to one born t the wrong time, he appeared to me also’. #Christian #BibleStudy #IreneBonneyFaulkes #Truth #wordofgod #HolySpirit #Quotes
