Many believers have been taught that this chapter is for the millennium – as I was, in a passing manner from the pulpit. When we look at this chapter of the ‘Sermon on the Mount’ we see it is actually directed to the then twelve disciples and there could have been some of His others listening. We do not know for sure. It was definitely pointed at the twelve – Judas who would be a traitor but maybe Mathias was there somewhere as he became the twelfth. We go through the chapter and see the application to the twelve and that of course included Andrew, Fisher of Men being the peer among them all. Jesus loved John but He chose Andrew who surely had been placed in the ‘lot’ prepared for him from eternity. As had been for instance, Adam, Eve, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Aaron and Melchizedek, specially so it seems when one looks at Hebrews. A perusal of those Lost books of the Bible reveals Andrew’s history as being particularly in accord with what Jesus foretold them all would be their lot, or destiny?’ in life.#Christian #BibleStudy #IreneBonneyFaulkes #Truth #wordofgod #HolySpirit #Quotes
